Glad it's Friday... Had a quick beer after work then came home via HMV. Bought a couple of DVDs (two for one offer - couldn't resist) - The Beach and Save The Last Dance (for Candi) plus picked up a copy of Thumb Wars (Very funny.) I also wanted to see if they had a copy of Bomb the Bass's album Clear. They didn't.

The Random Thought issue
I just finished watching Ripley's recorded from the other night. At the end, the presenter counted on his fingers as he said the following words, as if emphasising them. "See.You.Next.Time. I wonder what that could mean?" We couldn't believe it. Had to rewind and see it again! After that he does a sly wink to camera and says goodnight. Cheeky!

I really think I suffer from S.A.D. I get all depressed as soon as the clocks go back and I don't really snap right out of it until spring. I just feel tired, listless, I don't want to get up in the morning, I can't get enthusiastic about anything... Terrible really, maybe I should take up jogging or something? Yeah... had you going for a minute, didn't I? Jogging. Pfffffffft! Ever seen a happy jogger? No, me either.

What makes Silica Gel so special? You know when you get a new bag or something, there is always a little packet of the stuff in there and it's labelled "Silica Gel. DO NOT EAT". Cos like, I always eat whatever little white packet I find inside a new bag. I mean, it's not like other things get labelled like that - "Warning - Telephone. NOT FOR INTERNAL CONSUPTION". How bizarre.

Still haven't received DJ Yoda's How To Cut And Paste CD from bloody tesco.com. Every week they send me a mail saying "sorry, it's out of stock. We don't know when it will be in next, but we are keeping your order open." So I write back and say "how long will you keep it open? Can I cancel it?" They say, "yes but you have to ring us". I can't be arsed. Isn't that bad? If I could cancel by email, I would probably do it. So I go to the website and find the 'how to cancel an order' bit, blast of a quick email and guess what? Both emails bounced. So now I've gone to all the trouble of finding the email address, sending a mail, writing about it all here, and I still haven't rung them up...

Wrote a PAC file for work yesterday. It took me a while to get into the programming thing, it's been a while. But in the end it works quite well and does what it should. Quite fun, but I could never have been a programmer (like I used to think).

I won the lottery! Well, OK it wasn't the National Lottery, it was Bananalotto. And maybe I didn't win the million quid, maybe it was a 50p voucher for CD Wow... But I still won!

So what's new? Well it's been bloody cold the last couple of days, definitely time to dig out the Thinsulate hat again. Been listening to a new CD I bought - Stacey Pullen : "Today is the tomorrow you were promised yesterday" (great title). It's good, but there is one track on there which I absolutely love. It's called Vertigo and when I get a chance I may stick it up so you can listen for yourself. It reminds me a bit of Orbital's Chime and Sabres' Smokebelch - it is infectious and with a few listens you just want to hear it again and again and again... Great!

I've also got some pics to share with you. They've come out pretty well considering I took them this morning and there was that really fine rain going on. Not too pleasant and very overcast, but it gives you an idea. Bear with me, I'm a bit rusty at raw HTML coding.....

That's half my walk to work. Could be worse! I don't know if you can see it, but the river is really high at the moment. It's all muddy and flowing really fast. I'll take some more pics when it's calmed down a bit, it's normally much nicer.
