I haven't posted here in over a week... So what's new? Candi is flying to New York on Xmas Day - back on 29th. Long story, but her sister's bf can't get a visa so can't go. So Candi got asked instead. She can't really turn it down and she'll have a great time (think of all the shoe shops in NY!) but I kind of wish she wasn't going. How selfish is that? I'll see her soon enough.

I've got the day off tomorrow. My only holiday over Xmas (except public holidays). Not sure what I am going to do, probably have a lie-in!

I've almost completed Myst III - Exile. It's really good and I like it a lot, but I couldn't have done it without cheating a teensy bit. I have looked to GameSpot for assistance once or twice, but it has only been when I am completely stumped. It's one of those games where if you don't see something you're screwed. If you don't know what you're looking for it can be frustrating. I'd rather sneak a peek at a walkthrough than give up.

Talking of getting frustrated - after getting frustrated with the Sony OpenMG software that you get with the MD drive (it's slow, buggy, un-intuative and plain ugly) I discovered you can use RealOne and download a plugin for it. So with great satisfaction I dumped the OpenMG software and installed the required update to RealOne - which killed the Panasonic SD card reader support. So I ended up uninstalling RealOne, then re-installing it from the Panasonic CD, then upgrading to RealOne and then downloading the plugin for the Sony kit.... And it didn't work. I couldn't get it to see the Sony drive. After a bit of digging I found out that you need the OpenMG software installed as well, otherwise it doesn't work. What a pain in the butt.

Right I'm off to find some more online games. There are some good ones around this year.
