02 March 2003
Ahhh... nice weather. I know it's only just March, but today the weather is great - sunny and warm. I actually went for a bike ride this morning up & down the river and ended up going in to the local leisure centre for a bit of a rest. They had a CD & Record fair and a Sci-Fi fair on today. Both had potential, so I weighed them up on their merits, (Harry Hill style). The SF fair was 1 entry and the record fair was 1.50, so naturally I assumed the record fair was beter because it costs more (BMW driver mentality?!). Needless to say it was a disappointment, in and out in 5 minutes and whilst there were the obligatory "Best of the Carpenters" and "O-Town" charity shop cast-offs, the majority of stalls seemed to be taking it very seriously with rare Elvis / Beatles / Stones picture discs, signed copies etc. Bah. I was hoping to get a bargain or two but I guess it's not the sort of place to find Ninja or other decent stuff. I'll know for next time.
