I'm trying to decide on what I should do with the 333Mb of webspace I've got to play with. I'm toying with the idea of a site about the type of music I like, reviews, news etc but I don't know. I've already built a forum - feel free to have a play! They've given me so much I don't know where to start. I've even got proper site stats now!

Apologies if you have had problems getting to http://rossbrown.net - I just changed hosts to these guys and had a few minor problems changing over. For the time being I'm just going to redirect to this page and post updates here, then when I have had some time to play I fully intend to learn a bit of PHP and have some sort of database application running (probably a forum or something, but I may become a bit more adventurous.... Watch this space. If you have any ideas drop me a line using the link on the right. How am I going to fill 333Mb of web space?! Now that's the kind of problem I don't mind having ;-)

According to this article in The Register, 150 Britons were scammed by those dodgy West African scammers last year, to the tune of �8.4 million. That's a lot of money - over �56,000 per person! It just shows you, there are a lot of wealthy, greedy, gullible people in the UK (some of them considerably less wealthy now). I've spent the last few weeks dealing with these 419 scam mails at work, and I've seen plenty of variations, but they all go along the lines of "I've managed to steal / hide from the authorities / illegally acquire a huge sum of money and 30% of it can be yours if you help me get it out. Call me on my satellite phone to discuss." I'm interested, at what point did the victims think that entering into any sort of deal with these people was a good idea?
