It's Friday... yay. I've had a really hectic week at work this week, loads on and loads of stress. I had to get a document out by the end of play today and it was such a relief to do it in time, now I think my body has finally given in to the bug I think I've had for 2 days. I've got an upset stomach and a fever - not good seeing as I am going to someone's house in London tomorrow afternoon and I have to go into work both Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully it will clear up tonight, otherwise my weekend could be a miserable one.
I've just bought hosting space for another domain I own - neverhappy.com. I'm not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but I intend to keep rossbrown.net as a sort of test area, messing about with stuff I want to play with (like a forum). I'm thinking of letting people have an email address ending in neverhappy.com - it might be something people want. The hosting co offer smtp / pop3 access, web mail interface and 999 email addresses, so I shouldn't run out any time soon. Do you want one? Let me know...
One of the DVDs I ordered recently was the US remake of Japanese film The Ring. It turned up from Canada the other day - well, I say it turned up, it said The Ring on the outside of the jiffy bag, but 8 Mile was inside. I decided I quite wanted 8 Mile anyway (heard good reviews), so I kept it and watched it last night. I was actually quite surprised that I didn't want to stab Eminem - I've never been much of a fan, but to give credit where it's due, he did a good job of acting. I guess you wouldn't like it if you don't like rap music though. Kim Basinger is in it (I didn't know) and she was ok too. Funny how a few years ago she was hot property and now she only shows up in little films like that.
I've been playing with Ableton Live - I chopped up Bombscare's 2 Bad Mice into sections and had fun pasting them back together. Live is a great tool, my only grumble is that it doesn't respond quick enough sometimes. That's probably something to do with my soundcard settings though. Maybe I should read the FAQ?
