I've been working on a project for my Dad, a database-driven site all about pubs in the New Forest. After some debate he decided on a name and sent me an email with the chosen name in it. I copied & pasted into the web form at the hosting co and that was that. Only I didn't check the spelling. Oops. So we ended up buying the proper one as well.
As yet, neither site is up and running, but I have installed phpnuke and I have to say I really like the look of it. It's soooo configurable (and hackable too - heh). I'm sure I'll end up doing something with it on rossbrown.net.
Matt, my friend from work has just done the same with his new site, emptyspiral.net. Have a look, it looks dead nice ;-)
I've been playing Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory quite a bit recently. I'm still crap, but it looks like a good game and even better, it's f r e e!
The last time I went to post, Blogger was down for maintenance. Now everything has changed to a new design... much better. Actually, I can't see any obvious changes except cosmetic ones. I'm sure they will become evident as time goes on.
The weather is classic British Summer Time at the moment. When the sun is out, the weather is fantastic. The trouble is, that most of the time we have cloud cover and have to put up with pleasantly warm, cloudy days (with occasional rain). If only it would actually be nice weather during the summer, I am sure a whole lot of things would change in this country. I am a strong believer in people's attitude being related to the weather, so if it would just be nice, I reckon lots of people would just 'cheer up' overnight. Maybe not, but if the current believers in global warming are to be believed, one day we might find out.
