I know I've been lax, but I really have been busy at work. It's very difficult to sit down after a tiring day in front of my laptop and find the right words to put in my blog. My brain is fried after a day at work and it's not easy to 'get creative'. Saying that, I have spent some time updating neverhappy.com - things are shaping up, but I still feel like I'm pissing in the wind. Ah well, keeps me out of mischief.

Only a couple of months left in this house, our lease expires soon and we have to move out. Not a huge problem, more of a major inconvenience - I hate moving and the time between moves seems to get less every time. The upheaval is unbearable and it takes a while to adjust to your new place. Also, credit checks and the like become major hassles because they want to know every place you have lived in the last 3 years (5 sometimes) and spend much more time processing your application.

We just came back from a weekend in Scotland. One of Candi's relatives was getting married, she had a traditional Scottish wedding so we ate Scotch broth and haggis, naturally. The haggis was served like stuffing, inside a chicken breast, which made it more palletable than with the traditional 'neeps and tatties'.

We both feel like we need a holiday. This year has been tough on us and we are really feeling it. I've been working like a dog recently and it's taken it's toll. What would be really nice is a couple of weeks in the sun somewhere. Not sure if we can actually achieve that, but we'll give it a go. We haven't been down to see my parents much this year either - that always feels like we've managed to 'get away from it all', but we've been so busy.

Musically I've been a bit tired of the same old stuff recently, I had been listening to electronically generated / turntable stuff for too long so I went back to my CDs and dug out some Pink Floyd. It's been ages since I listened to anything like that and it made a refreshing change. First I 'found' a recording of Pink Floyd on MD which sounded like Dark Side Of The Moon played live, that turned out to be one of the CDs from >Pulse. Right now however, I'm listening to Jurassic 5 because I'm in that kind of mood.
