Well, you probably heard that the UK temperature record was broken the other day. To be honest I didn't enjoy the weekend much, it was uncomfortably hot. Too damn humid, it was impossible to stay outside in the sun for more than a couple of minutes before turning into a sweat monster. I tell you what though, I've been drinking more water than I ever thought possible (or desirable) over the last week or so. I've never known anything like it, as soon as I finish one glass I'm craving another. It must be good for me though.

I've been concentrating on my other project, neverhappy.com a lot recently. It's good if I can spend an hour or so a day updating the content, adding new stories etc but just recently even that has been hard. Things at work are hectic at the moment, I'm working 10 hr days minimum and I still come home feeling like I haven't made a dent in it. There's several major projects going on at the moment, which I suppose is a good sign, at least there's work coming in. But it means I am really stressed and overworked.

I had a scary one today, I uncovered a new type of advance fee fraud and forwarded details to the police fraud desk. They forwarded my entire mail, along with my personal details to the scammers by accident. It doesn't worry me particularly, I'm just pissed off that they could do something so stupid. When I spoke to the person concerned it became apparent that they are not in the least bit technical and couldn't understand the difference between, say abuse@aol.com and abuse@scammersdomain.com. It was very frustrating for me and I resolved never to get the police involved in a 419 / fraud email incident unless I really have to.

I got an email from UBIsoft today, telling me I have been accepted onto the Uru Beta test programme. It's the next-generation game in the Myst series, featuring multi-user online gameplay. Sounds interesting, I'm off to download it now and have a look.
